Sorry when I said run gpup.exe it is a Windows message asking if i want gpup to make changes. Either yes or no to this reloads Notepadd++ with the Plugin Manger window showing the ticked install selection. Notepad++ v8.1.7 bug-fixes: Fix empty file not being saved regression. So Notepad++ doesn’t officially support MSI, or any other install method other than the NSIS-created EXE or the distributed ZIP- and 7z-based portable versions. seems to download ok, asked to restart, followed by the Windows gpup message. The developer obviously chose NSIS->Executable instead of MSI or other installer solutions for a reason. Tried a couple of others all of which acted as NppExec.Ĭhanged to large toolbar icons, exited and restarted and they are there OK.
